A New Year a new start!

Well it's a New Year and time to start something new. I have been wondering about starting a blog for sometime now, so I though well why not now!

My intention for the forthcoming year is to paint more regularly and to sketch, preferably from life, on a regular hopefully, daily basis! I live in the beautiful West Country with my family and our little dog. We are surrounded by wonderful countryside and the amazing Jurassic coast is just a few miles away so I shouldn't be short of inspiration!

 So let the journey begin!

A busy day at Loders today and an early start to get set up ready for the Exhibition, but well worth it,  lots of fantastic artwork on display and two sales for me! 

  

Start of Liz Steel's Sketching Now 14 Course

I have been following Liz Steel and have been inspired by her sketching journey since stumbling across her blog in 2010. I love the spontaneity of her sketches and her courage to just sit down in the middle of a pavement somewhere and draw what she sees in front of her! When I saw she was running an online course I had to sign up.

Week one was to draw our sketching kit, this is mine.
